Bride (37) dies during bachelorette party on the island of Mykonos

A group of Italian women traveled to the Greek resort island of Mykonos last week for a bachelorette party, but their trip ended in utter tragedy.

Thirty-seven-year-old Sara was celebrating her bachelorette party with her best friends on the beautiful island of Mykonos. After all, her wedding was just around the corner. But disaster struck during a car ride.

The Italian woman was supposed to tie the knot in her home country this Saturday. However, she lost her life in a serious car accident during her bachelorette weekend in Greece.

The group of Italian women had planned the trip well and were getting around the island in a rented Peugeot, driven by a professional private driver. But unfortunately, a serious crash could not be avoided.

Their car was suddenly struck hard on the side by a blue Volkswagen. The bride-to-be, who was sitting in the back seat, suffered the worst of the impact. The 37-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where she died. One of her friends was seriously injured; the others sustained minor injuries.

The tragic accident occurred during the night of Sunday, June 14, into Monday, June 15, according to Sky TG24. According to the Greek news outlet To Vima, the woman was one of four passengers in the car and was sitting in the back seat when the accident happened. The exact circumstances of the incident are being investigated by Greek authorities. The bride-to-be was from the Tuscan city of Arezzo. She was set to marry her fiancé there this weekend. She is survived by a 3-year-old daughter.
