The war between Iran, Israel and the United States has now been going on for 11 weeks. While a temporary arms truce is in place, according to CBS News, it appears that the US will once again bomb Iran.
On Friday night, Israel had already carried out five new bombings in eastern Lebanon. According to AFP, airstrikes also took place in Tyre, in the southwest. According to an Israeli army spokesman, the buildings targeted are used by the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia. The US news channel also refers to President Donald Trump's announcement on Friday that he will not be at his son's wedding due to "government business". Trump wrote that it's "important to stay in Washington, to be in the White House during this important time". Pakistan says peace deal coming in next few hours
Pakistan is acting as a mediator in the negotiations between the US and Iran to end the Middle East conflict. And there the tone already sounds a lot more positive than the reports reaching us from the United States. A temporary cease-fire has been in place since April 8, pending a more lasting peace agreement. Pakistani army chief Asim Munir left for Tehran on Friday. Security sources in Pakistan confirmed this to the French news agency AFP. Meanwhile, Arab news channel Al Arabiya shared via X that the final proposal for a peace agreement is expected within the next few hours.
