World-famous influencer drowns in Thailand in chaotic incident

The guru of so-called “looksmaxxing” is no more. The American influencer, who had more than two million followers, reportedly drowned in a lake as he was fleeing from the police while on vacation in Thailand. According to local media, Connor Murphy was behaving erratically. He vandalized the luxurious villa where he was staying, walked into a lake, and drowned.

According to multiple international reports, American fitness influencer Connor Murphy died in Thailand at the age of 32. Thai media reports that Murphy was found in a lake in Samut Prakan province, just south of Bangkok, after witnesses said he had been acting erratically and confused there. A preliminary investigation points to drowning, though the autopsy and toxicological analyses are still pending.

According to local reports, Murphy was staying in a rented home in a luxury residential neighborhood. Bystanders saw him acting agitated, getting into a confrontation with security guards, and eventually walking into the water. Rescue crews and divers later recovered his body from the lake. Police say they found no visible signs of an assault.

Murphy built a large online following with fitness videos, bodybuilding content, and provocative clips within the so-called “looksmaxxing” culture. He had more than two million subscribers on YouTube. His latest posts and videos have once again attracted a lot of attention in recent days, as his death is being widely discussed on social media and in international media.

There is still uncertainty regarding the exact circumstances. Authorities in Thailand are continuing to investigate the case and have not yet definitively closed the investigation. As long as the official results of the autopsy are not known, the exact cause of his death remains a matter of debate.
