First wounded on NATO territory by Russian drone crash

Eurocommissioners complain about long electric car ride to Strasbourg

To set an example, since 2022, several Eurocommissioners have been provided with electric cars for their monthly 440-kilometer drive from Brussels to Strasbourg, where the Commission meets every month. However, this journey, which has often been criticized, doesn't go as smoothly as it hoped: the electric cars have too short a range and have to stop in between to recharge. The more than five hour drive thus becomes 20 to 30 minutes longer, and commissioners have to wait in highway parking lots when they would rather go home.

Jill Biden: "I thought Joe had stroke during the debate with Trump"

On July 21, 2024, President Joe Biden surprisingly announced that he was withdrawing from the race for president. Through a public statement on X (formerly Twitter), the then 81-year-old president announced that he would not seek a second term. "This is in the interest of my party and the country I represent," he announced. A particularly weak performance in a direct debate with Donald Trump at the time seemed like the last nail in the coffin for Biden's candidacy.

Moscow threatens to bomb diplomatic quarter in Kiev: Europe will not be intimidated

Russia has announced a major bombardment of Kiev. The Kremlin is exhorting diplomats and foreigners to leave the Ukrainian capital. In doing so, Russian President Vladimir Putin appears to be directly threatening foreign embassies in Kiev for the first time. However, an international escalation lurks around the corner should the Kremlin effectively bomb the diplomatic quarter in Kiev. Will it remain mere threats or will Putin keep to this word force other countries to respond with force?
